DESIGN OF MS ROOF TRUSS explains in this post. MS ROOF TRUSS is a straight interconnected structural element triangular in shape. It makes by welding multiple structural elements together to form a single component or single Structure known as Truss. It uses to carry heavy loads and acts like load transfer Structure.

MS ROOF TRUSS engages in areas where span of building is large. Roofing for aircraft hangers, airport terminals, industrial buildings, indoor Stadiums, auditoriums, etc, made by Truss. It uses often in steel structures like Building roofs, Towers, Bridges, etc,.  It helps in reducing weight of building.

Its triangular shapes enables MS ROOF TRUSS to distribute loads uniformly. And it helps to transfer loads in varying, compression and tension. This happens without any bending and shearing on truss members. It is make of three main elements like horizontal, vertical and cross members. These members normally known as chords. The cross members are known as bracing.

DESIGN OF MS ROOF TRUSS

In structural engineering, the designs made by structural engineers and fabricators. They use the good and best raw materials available from all sources. And makes a wide range of structural design which satisfy all design requirements.

The efficient of truss is lighter than normal RCC buildings. This reduce the natural resource consumption and saves cost in structural frameworks. This usage of Truss System uses widely in industrial sector. It reduces the Construction cost and time of Mass buildings and Heavy RCC structures. By application of this we can reduce mass pollution and prevent nature. This Systems Makes a Revolution in Steel Industry.

Truss consists of three main elements known as top, bottom chord and bracing. Top Chord is a inclined or a horizontal member fixes in the upper edge of truss. This tends to compressive and bending stresses.

Bottom chord is a horizontal member fixes in the lower edge of a truss, carrying all ceiling loads. This tends to tensile and bending stresses.

Bracing are connection members in between both chords.

DESIGN CRITERIA

For design a Truss, engineers/ fabricators consider many important and basic things. Some of the important and main basic things are as follows,

  • Length and Width of Structure
  • Roof Slopes
  • Ventilation
  • Dead Loads
  • Live Loads
  • Wind Loads
  • Spacing of bays
  • E.O.T Crane Systems and
  • Weight of Truss members, etc,.
